Lacrosse is one of the oldest sports in the US.  It dates back to the native Americans that played it to honor the Creator.  Called the fastest game on two feet it combines the running of soccer, the hand and eye coordination of baseball, and the agility of hockey and basketball.  It is a great place for athletes of all sizes to compete as you don't have to be 7' tall to play, you just have to be tenacious!  It is definitely a game that develops great athleticism. 

There are active lacrosse programs in Tucson and Phoenix from beginning through high school.  Check for your local area.​

What You need:

Boys -

Helmet - Stick - Gloves - Elbow Pads, Chest protector, Cup

Girls - 

Stick, Protective goggles

Where to Find - 

Some Play It Again sports in the area carry equipment, and online- lacrosseunilmited.com is a good place to start.

Once you know you want to play, invest in a quality stick- at least intermediate level.  Beginner sticks will wear out quickly and can be difficult to throw with creating bad habits.  This applies to boys and girls.
